‘Body Perspective’ – Out Today!

Niku’s new EP drops today! Including post-punk collaborations with Ravenna Woods’ Chris Cunningham, an ambient epic featuring glam poet okanomodé, as well as some strange instrumentals, ‘Body Perspective’ has something for all.

Available in digital form only at iTunes and Amazon.

We want to celebrate by sharing another track from it, called ‘Monolithic’. It’s a groovy, perhaps manically happy instrumental. Download below!

Also, “We Still Fight”, (feat. Chris Cunningham of Ravenna Woods) is still up for free download:

And lastly, for those in the Seattle area, be sure to make it out to the album release show on June 7th!

New Album and Show in June

I’m excited to say that my new EP is called Body Perspective and it will be coming out June 4th, 2013 on Don’t Be a Lout Music. Unlike the last record, this one has some vocalists on it – namely, Chris Cunningham from Ravenna Woods, and glam-poet okanomodé…people who I’m very happy to have met as people, let alone musicians. Here’s a taste of it – feel free to download away:

The release show will be in Seattle at Columbia City Theater, a really great venue. Details below – I hope to see you there!

12.10.12 – Kicking off 2013!

I’ve been busy working on new material and am SUPER excited to share it with you in early 2013! The guest singers have blown my mind – it feels great to collaborate with such dear and talented friends. More on this soon.

Also excited to announce a show in January – This is going to be a showcase of Don’t Be a Lout Music, at Barboza here in Seattle. It’s going to be a party. Joining me onstage will be a live band comprised of Chris Cunningham (Ravenna Woods), post-soul singer okanomodé, plus Scott Teske along with Emily Westman – both members of the Seattle Rock Orchestra. DJ Introcut will be spinning throughout.

09.01.12 – In the Tidelands

Excited to announce that Niku’s debut record In the Tidelands, is out!

If you haven’t heard any of the tracks yet, hit the music player or head to the Music Page for a listen – if you like what you hear, you can get yourself a copy on iTunes and/or join the email list for a free track download.

Various tracks from the album have been getting college radio love - thanks to the peeps at KALX in Berkeley (CA), and WHRW in Binghampton (NY), as well as others who have added the record to rotation.

And finally, Niku is planning shows in the near future, as well as putting the final touches on the tracking for a new EP…with a surprise guest or two in the works. Stay tuned! The lights are on.
